જુના રાજ- નર્મદા જિલ્લો ગુજરાત સાતપુડા ગિરીમાળાના કરજણ ડેમની વિશાળ જળરાશીના બીજી તરફ ના છેવાડે આવેલી આજગ્યા છુપા ખજાના જેવી છે. અહી જંગલો છે, કુદરતી પાની છે, ભવ્ય ઇતિહાસ ના ખંડેરો છે અને આદિવાસી સંસ્ક્રિતી પણ છે. જુના રાજ  એક સમયે રાજ્પીપલના ગોહીલ રાજઓની જુની રાજ્ધાની હતી,જેના અવશેષો હાલ પણ જોવા મળે છે.ચોમાસા પછી આ જગ્યા અદભુત લાગે છે.અહી આવેલ નીલકંઠેશ્વેર મહાદેવ તથા પ્રાચીન કિલ્લાના અવશેષો કરજણ ડેમની જળરાશીમા અડધા ડુબી જાય છે.જે જોવા માટે સ્થાનિક લોકોની નાવડી દ્રારા જઇ શકાય છે.જે સફર રોમાચક લાગે છે.                                                                                            જુના રાજ જવાના બે રસ્તા છે.એક રાજ્પીપલા થી કરજણ ડેમ થઇ જંગલ વીસ્તાર માથી જતો કાચો રસ્તો જે ડેમ ના કિનારે કિનારે ચાલે છે.અને સફર મા છેક સુધી પાણીના અને જંગલના કુદરતી દ્રશ્યોનો સતત સાથ આપે છે.જયારે બીજો રસ્તો કરજણ ડેમથી બોટ કે નાવડી દ્રારા જુના રાજ જવાનો છે.જે સાહસ અને રોમાચ આપે છે. હાલ જુનારાજ મા વન વીભાગ દ્રારા બનાવેલ રેસ્ટ હાઉસ છે.જ્યા સ્થાનીકો દ્રારા બનાવેલ દેશી જમણની મજા માણી શકાય છ

RANI KI VAV-PATAN GUJARAT The  Rani ki vav built in the 11 th  century when patan was the capital of the  solanki rules. the  magnificent seven storey’s stepwell is said to have been built by Rani udaimati, The Queen of Bhimdev-1 of the solanki dynasty .  The architectural brilliance and elegance of the vav is represented in its pristine glory in the ornamental work. The beautiful proportioned sculptures of gracefully carved mahisasurmardini, shiv-parvati, dashavatar of Vishnu, ganesh, kuber ndother forms adorn the walls.      This stepwell was  buried for centuries, Archaeological survey of India started excavation in 1958 and exposed the hidden treasures  In 1967. now its aworld heritage site. PATAN is also famous for its hand weavened  PATOLA  saris.

MODHERA SUN TEMPLE-world heritage site GUJARAT modhera sun temple is about 25 km from mahesana. it is built by king bhimdeva of solanki dynasty in 1926. this is the second most beautiful and ancient suntemple in india( first is konark) .          this majestic temple is erected on a high platform is devided into three parts (1) main temple-Guda mandap (2)sabha mandap and (3)suryakund           The exterior walls of Guda mandap and sabha mandap are engraved with intricate carving, covered with the sculptural patterns of Lord shIva, vishnu, GANESHA, SURYA  and also shows vicious circle of birth and death. suryakund is a 100sq.mt. rectangular stepped water tank, having 108 small shrines. MODHERA DANCE FESTIVAL Every year Gujarat Tourism  organizes  classical dance festiva in january l is a must watch event. the temple illuminated with light at night is the backdrop for classical dances. નર્મદા ડેમ અને નદીનાં સામા કિનારે લગભગ 8 કિ.મીના અંતરે આવેલ ઝરવાણીનો ધોધ જંગલ ની વચ્ચે આવેલ ખૂબજ રમણીય જગ્યા છે. સાતપૂડાની પર્વતમાળામાં આવેલ આ જગ્યા ચોમાસામાં અદ્ભૂત લાગે છે. ચારેબાજુ લીલાંછમ પર્વતો, ખેતરો અને ખળખળ વહેતા ઝરણા અને નદી મનને તાજગીથી ભરી દેછે. ઝરવાણીનો ધોધ ભલે ઉંચાઈમા નાનો છે પણ તે જોવા માટે ગોઠણડુબ નદીના પાણીમાં ચાલીને જવુ પડે છે જે એક adventurous feeling  આપે છે. ઝરવાણી ધોવાથી ઉપર તરફ જતો રસ્તો ઝરવાણી ગામ તરફ પવઁત પર જાય છે જયાં વન વિભાગનું રેસ્ટ હાઉસ છે. તેની પાછળ વળાંક લેતી નદીથી બનતો necklace point જોવાનુ ભૂલવા જેવું નથી. રેસ્ટ હાઉસ ની બહેનો એ બનાવેલ મકાઈના રોટલા અને અડદ  દાળ.... અહા...
